The results of the First National University Mathematical Micro Teaching Design Contest (hereinafter referred to as Micro Course Contest) were announced a few days ago. Our teachers of School of Mathematics and Computer Science were awarded medals, including Yan Qin Li, Qiu Ke, Mei Junlei, Tao Lei, Zhang Lei, Sun Shuanglin, etc. gained second-class award of Micro Course Contest of Southwest Division.

The First National University Mathematics Micro Teaching Design Contest is organized by the Ministry of education. The contest covers all the knowledge of university mathematics, like linear algebra, probability theory and mathematical statistics. The teachers need to use modern educational technology and equipment to present the teaching design (PPT) and related teaching assistant materials within 10 to 20 minutes.

Micro Course Contest was first held in 2015, with the preliminaries starting on March 1st. Since the start, it was paid great attention. The teachers were organized to Chengdu University of Electronic Science and Technology for the training of design and fabrication of micro course and collective discussion.

The excellent performance of our teachers in the contest is the fruit of the leadership and positive efforts of the teachers. Many teachers will pay more attention to the use of information technology in the future during their teaching process, which will be helpful to promote their update teaching ideas, teaching methods, innovative teaching design of mathematics curriculum.
