Invited by UWS and MIC, Vice president Guo Wen led a delegation to visit two institutions from October9 to October 16 with the aim to thoroughly explore relevant cooperation programs and develop relations with new oversea universities and colleges.
From October 11 to 13, the delegation visited the two campuses of the UWS. Besides, they also had a meeting with Donna MacMillian, the Vice President in charge of international affairs. During the meeting, both sides introduced the basic situation of each university, and they all expressed the wishes for exchange and cooperation. Then, our two institutions signed MOU, which was a good beginning for our future cooperation. Moreover, via the meeting, both sides had reached some consensus in cooperation programs, such as students’ exchange, teachers training, etc. The delegation also had a campus tour to practice bases, library and students’ dormitories.
In October 15, Guo Wen and the delegation came to MIC,Irelandandhad met with the Vice President Eugene Wall and signed MOU. Then, they talked with the President Assistant Dr Angela Canny and the Director of International Department on international cooperation programs.
Both institutions gave warm reception to our university’s delegation. This visit took an important role in promoting and expanding new cooperation programs of our university.
