Delegation of University of Southern Queensland Visited Our University
December 13, 2017  

On December 11th, Tina Hou, the Executive Director of Australian Ruiqin Education Group, Ivy Chung, the Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation for Greater China Region in Southern Queensland, Yucheng Jiang, the Project Manager to China, visited our university. The Director and the Deputy Director of the International Exchange & Cooperation Office, Ms. Zhao Yao and Ms. Tao Xiuzhu, led the delegation to visit the school stadium, Students Transaction Center, E-class Transaction Center, Internet+ and other distinctive service station. The guests communicate genially with students, complimenting the student-centered model and the diversity in students’ administration as the efficiency, students’ practical ability and the service conscious have been highly improved.

After the visit, Linhu Rongfeng, the Vice President had a friendly meeting with the guests in room 802 in the Information Building, Zuo Yu, the Dean of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, Lejing Li, the Dean of the School of Geography and Tourism, Yong Luo, the Assistant Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, and Xiuzhu Tao,the Deputy Director of the International Exchange & Cooperation Office also attended the meeting. The meeting was host by Zhang Yao, the Director of International Exchange & Cooperation office.

Linhu Rongfeng firstly expressed a warm welcome to the guests, introduced the school history and revolution, the scale of the school, specialty construction, subject characteristics, faculty staff and recent achievements, and pointed out that the achievements are made because of the talents-centered cultivation strategy. He also introduced the school’s condition of international exchange and cooperation, emphasized the open policy of the school and the benefits of broaden the opportunities for teachers and students to foreign exchanges.

Tina Hou introduced the Australian Southern Queensland University and its features, majors and international exchanges.

Ivy Chung, pointed out three ways of cooperational model between two parties, first, students from our school can have a 3-8 weeks learning tour to Australian Southern Queensland University, second, students major in PE and tourism can go to exchange learning to ASQU, third, engineering students can travel to Australia for 3-6 months learning, participate in the robot competition or academic interaction.

At last, Zhao Yao made a summary of the meeting, expressed a good wish that both universities can build a bridge, strengthen the relationship and push forward the pragmatic cooperation.

The meeting was conducted in a happy and relaxed atmosphere, cooperation framework agreement was signed, which will form a good foundation for future cooperation.
