President Wei Wei attended the launch meeting of 2021 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week
June 7, 2021  

On the morning of June 3rd, the launch meeting of 2021 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week was held in the Education Department of Guizhou Province. Zou Lianke, secretary and director of the Education Department of Guizhou Province and secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Exchange Week, and Liu Baoli, executive secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Exchange Week attended the meeting. Main leaders and relevant staff of all departments of the Provincial Department of Education as well as its subordinate institutions, and projects undertaking universities and institutions attended the meeting.


This year marks the 30th anniversary of dialogue and cooperation between China and ASEAN. It is also the theme year of China-ASEAN sustainable development cooperation.The 2021 Exchange Week will be held in Guiyang at the end of August through the "combination of online and offline", focusing on the themes of deepening innovation in education and technology, boosting the training of economic and trade talents, promoting mutual learning and practical cooperation between China and ASEAN in the post-epidemic era. Project activities cover higher education, vocational education, preschool education, continuing education, "One Belt And One Road" education cooperation, university-enterprise cooperation, integration of industry and education, youth exchange and other fields.


At the launching meeting, Zou Lianke said that we should make full use of the exchange week platform to promote the practical cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN in the field of education and people-to-people exchanges, earnestly do a good job in the opening up of education in all fields, and promote the high-quality development of education in Guizhou, and put forward requirements for the preparation of this year's exchange week from four aspects. Liu Baoli introduced the situation of the 2020 Exchange Week and the progress of the preparatory work of the 2021 Exchange Week.


This year, the Organizing Committee of the Exchange Week has received more than 60 projects from Malaysia, Thailand, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guizhou, etc. After expert evaluation and selection, some of them will be included in the opening period and some will be included in the whole year. Our university has applied for two exchange week activities this year, which are China-ASEAN (International) "Mecha Master" Robot Challenge and China-ASEAN Music and Dance Education Forum. China - ASEAN (International) "Mecha Master" Robot Challenge was approved as one of the opening period of activities, China - ASEAN Music and Dance Education Forum was approved as one of the whole year activities.


Our university and 10 universities undertaking the project, such as Guizhou University, Guizhou Normal University, Guizhou Institute of Technology, made speeches as representatives.

Wei Wei said we hope to take this activity as an opportunity to further deepen the relations between our university and other universities in countries along the "One Belt and One Road", to enhance mutual understanding and exchanges, to promote the cooperation between teachers and students' exchange, and constantly improve the level of education opening to the outside world of our university and even our province. And she also stated that our university will plan in advance, pay close attention to the implementation of the events with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, and make every effort to complete the preparatory work for the events to ensure a complete success.
