On the afternoon of March 24th, Vice President Zou Xiaoqing went to School of Literature and Media to investigate International Students Work, accompanied by Zhang Yao, director of International  Exchange and Cooperation Department. The meeting was held in the meeting room of School of Literature and Media. Wang jun, deputy secretary of party committee(overall responsibility for party committee work), Yang Bo, vice dean(overall responsibility for daily work), Chen Yiqiao, deputy secretary of party committee, and the teachers who teach international students attended the meeting.

At the research meeting, Zhang Yao briefly reviewed and introduced the international student enrollment and management work of our university in recent years. Wang jun, Yang Bo and Chen Yiqiao also respectively reported the basic situation of Chinese international education and international education (training) work, analyzed the current problems and difficulties in terms of talent training scheme, course setting and implementation, teachers, teaching conditions, and funds, and put forward solving suggestions. The participating teachers also made supplementary speeches.

Zou Xiaoqing listened to the report and gave affirmation to the efforts made by the School of Literature and Media. She offered guidance according to the research situation: Firstly, to form a consensus in thoughts, enhance the consciousness of the master, positively think how to better develop international education in post-pandemic era, and further accelerate the pace of our opening-door policy through improving the quality of international education. Secondly, we should constantly improve the "three systems" in international students affairs, which are the teaching curriculum system, the cultural education system and the management and service system, and make achievement with Guizhou and university characteristics. Thirdly, be confident, and overcome difficulties. The next step will be to further straighten out the management mechanism of international students. Relevant departments and colleges should work together to gradually improve the teaching and living environment of international students, improve the quality of teaching, logistics services and management, and accelerate the further development of international students education of our university.
