On the morning of December 13, the opening ceremony of Guizhou Education University 2021“Zhi & Xing Guizhou”Silk Road Youth Exchange Programme, sponsored by Education Department of Guizhou Province and The Secretariat of Organizing Committee of CAECW and organized by Guizhou Education University, was held in the Shanshui Hall of Yinshan Academy of our university through online + offline mode. Wang Hui, member of the Party Leadership Group of Education Department of Guizhou Province and chairwoman of the Provincial Education Union; Yin Yougang, second-level inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province; Xiong Shihuan, member of the Party Committee and vice president of Guizhou Education University; Chen Wenyi, Deputy Director of The Secretariat of Organizing Committee of CAECW, Muhammad Raihan Ismail Ronodipuro, young cadre of the Great Indonesia Movement Party,Indonesia, Associate Research, Center for Indonesia-China Studies, Muhammad Abubakar, a young entrepreneur from Pakistan, and Yu Meijia, a Nepalese student of the Asian Institute of Technology (FAO intern) attended the ceremony. The ceremony was host by Zhang Yao, director of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Department of Guizhou Education University.

Wang Hui gave a speech. Wang Hui pointed out that the “Zhi & Xing Guizhou”Silk Road Youth Exchange Programme is the flagship project of China-Asean Education Exchange Week. Make "Belt and Road" young students to study in Guizhou, to get to know, understand and discover Guizhou. Such activities will continue to deepen the connotation construction of China-Asean Education Exchange Week, improve the quality and efficiency of international education exchange and cooperation projects, promote the opening up of Education in Guizhou to a new level, and help build the brand of "Study in Guizhou". Wang Hui expressed her hope that the participants could immerse themselves in Chinese culture, experience colorful Guizhou, understand China and Guizhou objectively and truly, deepen interaction and enhance friendship, and achieve the unity of "knowledge" and "practice" on this platform.

Yin Yougang delivered a speech on behalf of the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, expressing congratulations on the holding of the activity. He briefly introduced the situation of Guizhou province and emphasized that the "Belt and Road" education campaign has played an important role in strengthening the foundation, paving the way and building a bridge for the friendship between Chinese and foreign peoples. He said that the program is a platform to actively integrate into the National strategy of the Belt and Road initiative and improve the internationalization level of education. He sincerely hoped that all the students would have some thoughts, feelings and insights during the learning process.

Xiong Shihuan delivered a speech on behalf of the university and pointed out that the university adheres to the principle of open education. In recent years, the university has shown a good momentum of development in such aspects as international exchange students, visiting and training of teachers, hosting china-asean Educational Exchange Week, selecting students for overseas internship, recruiting overseas students, and carrying out activities of Chinese language education base. The youth exchange program geared to the needs of "Belt and Road" international young students, mainly depends on the characteristics of our curriculum and the traditional culture education platform advantages. Courses are offered in the form of educational lectures, educational demonstrations and communication forums, and let students fully experience Guizhou beautiful natural scenery and rich ethnic customs, to experience the Chinese traditional culture.

Muhammad Raihan Ismail Ronodipuro spoke about his understanding of the ancient Silk Road and quoted the lyrics of the famous Indonesian folk song "Beautiful Solo" to explain the long-standing friendship between China and Indonesia. Muhammad Abubakar shared his understanding of the Belt and Road Initiative and the opportunities that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has brought to the youth of China and Pakistan in terms of cultural exchange, tourism cooperation and vocational training. Yu meijia took the importance of urban forests and green space in the Asia-Pacific region as a starting point to talk about the Belt and Road Initiative and sustainable development.

The opening ceremony ended with the song of Cicadas performed by students from the School of Music and Dance of our University.

Guizhou Education University 2021“Zhi & Xing Guizhou”Silk Road Youth Exchange Programme will last for five days, and there will be traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy art appreciation education lectures, sino-foreign youth exchange forum, Guizhou minority music and dance education exhibition activities to deepen exchanges and cooperation between young people from countries along the Belt and Road, and make them learn more about China, experience colorful Guizhou culture and enhance friendship.
