The Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Office of our University was invited to participate in the Forum on the Development of Industry-Education Integration between Chinese and American Provincial and State Universities.-Guizhou Education University

In order to innovate the international talent cultivation mode and promote the high-level scientific research cooperation and international industry-university-research-use cooperation between Chinese and American provincial and state universities, the Forum on the Development of Industry-Education Integration between Chinese and American Provincial and State Universities was held in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, on 31st October 2023, and the Federation of Industry-Education Integration between Chinese and American Provincial and State Universities was unveiled at the same time. Zhang Yao, Director of the Department of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation of the University, and her team were invited to participate in the forum.

The theme of the forum was "Innovating Joint Education Models of Chinese and American Provincial and State Universities and Exploring Development Paths of International Industry Colleges", which is a communication and dialogue mechanism initiated by China and the United States on the basis of the cooperation of "China-United States Talent Cultivation Program". The forum was hosted by Changshu Institute of Technology and supported by the International Department of the Ministry of Education and the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province.

The morning of the forum was the working meeting of China-US Provincial and State Universities Industry-Education Integration Consortium, which was attended by more than 20 member units, of which Guizhou Education University was one of the first batch of member units. In the afternoon, the Forum on the Development of Industry-Education Integration between Chinese and American Provincial and State Universities was held, which was divided into three stages: opening ceremony, keynote speeches and keynote seminars. Wu Jinsong, second-level inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Yun, counsellor of the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, Yuan Jingyu, deputy director of the Department of Education of Jiangsu Province, Ji Jing, vice mayor of Suzhou Municipal People's Government, Xu Zheng, vice mayor of Changshu Municipal People's Government, Zhang Jing, director of the Centre for International Educational Exchanges of the CIEE, Li Sufei, deputy director of China/Asia Programs of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASC), the Chancellor Schmid, and others of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire attended the meeting. And more than 100 representatives from more than 50 domestic universities as well as representatives of the Chinese and American business communities participated in the meeting.

The China-US Provincial and State Universities Industry and Education Integration Consortium, focusing on the innovation of international talent cultivation, jointly explored the cooperation mode of "Industry and Education Integration", established a dialogue mechanism for higher education in China and the United States provinces and states, and focused on the joint cultivation of international innovative talents. Through this meeting, our school observes and learns the international education and industry-university-research-use integration and progress perspective, and deepen the concept of open cooperation and win-win situation.
