Guizhou Education University is located in Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is a provincial full-time higher education institute. The university has won the honorary title of the first Green university in the province and the first batch of civilized campuses in the province. The university has 18 faculties and 44 undergraduate majors as well as 3 graduate majors, covering 10 disciplines such as economics, law, pedagogy, literature, science, and engineering. The university has formed a talent cultivating system for undergraduate education, postgraduate education, international student education, and continuing education. There is an affiliated middle school - Guizhou Experimental High School. There are 1,100 faculty and employees, and more than 15,000 full-time students. There are 3 provincial first-class construction disciplines, 8 provincial characteristic key disciplines and provincial key disciplines; 5 national first -class undergraduate majors, 16 provincial first -class undergraduate majors, 2 national first -class undergraduate courses; 1 national-level incubation space, 43 provincial -level scientific research platforms (teams), such as provincial key laboratories, college humanities and social science bases, academician workstations, and other provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms (teams).

There is an affiliated middle school - Guizhou Provincial Experimental High School. In the past three years, students have won over 500 awards at the provincial and ministerial levels or above in competitions such as the "National Innovation Competition" and the "Challenge Cup". They have also won a total of 8 gold medals in the China International College Students' Innovation Competition, ranking first among normal universities nationwide and among the top in Guizhou's universities for two consecutive years. In the 9th "Challenge Cup" China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the school won 1 gold medal in the Innovation Category, achieving a breakthrough in winning a gold medal for Guizhou Province in this competition.

It has established friendly cooperative relations with universities and educational institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries and regions.
