In May 2020, our university received the notice about summary of the U.S.-China friendship volunteers project from the provincial education department office. Leaders of university attached great importance to it, and Department of International Exchange & Cooperation took the lead to review and summarize management experience, practice, and typical case of the specific situation seriously, and apply to participate in the selection of outstanding project institutions. Recommend by the Departments of Education of Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and Gansu provinces, and organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), a total of 22 outstanding colleges and universities, 39 outstanding administrators and 29 outstanding cooperative teachers have been selected by experts.Our university has been awarded the title of outstanding university. There are 5 universities in Guizhou province that have won this honor.

Since 1999, our university has been a cooperative university of "US-China Friendship Volunteer Program". Over the past 20 years, under the support and guidance of China Education Association for International Exchange, Provincial Department of Education, Provincial Department of Science and Technology and other departments, our university has been steadily and effectively carrying out volunteer program work. Each batch of volunteer teachers came to our university with their love for China and education. They have played a positive role in our English teaching, sino-US cultural exchange and the improvement of education internationalization level. At the same time, our university has also accumulated rich experience in the management of foreign  experts through this project, which has laid a good foundation for continuing to employ foreign teachers in the next step.
