The Thailand Internship Program was launched in 2015 through a collaborative agreement between GZEU and Thailand’s Ministry of Education. This initiative established dedicated internship bases in Thai primary and secondary schools for Guizhou Education University’s International Chinese Education program. In 2024, five outstanding students were sent to Thailand, where they applied their professional knowledge and youthful enthusiasm to create remarkable experiences. Supported by Thai schools and the Ministry of Education, the internships earned positive feedback for their teaching skills and cultural contributions.
During the meeting, the 2024 internships shared reflections on their experiences, discussing challenges, achievements and personal growth. They not only achieved remarkable success in teaching but also made significant contributions to cultural exchange. Through a variety of engaging cultural activities, they helped Thai students gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and played an active role in strengthening the friendship between China and Thailand.
Following this, Ren Jie presented the university-level “Outstanding Internship” certificates to the 2024 Thailand internships, recognizing their exceptional abilities and outstanding performance during the internship.
Next, Xiang Chenhui(the project teacher from the International Office) provided a detailed introduction to the 2025 Thailand Internship Program. She specifically addressed key concerns such as safety, offering comprehensive information and guidance for prospective internships.
Finally, Ren Jie delivered the closing remarks. On behalf of the university’s Party Committee and administration, she first congratulated the 2024 Thailand internships on their achievements. She then emphasized the importance of international exchange in enhancing students’ overall competencies and broadening their global perspectives. Additionally, she encouraged more students to actively participate in international exchange programs to continually improve their global competitiveness.
Looking ahead to 2025, as China-Thailand relations deepen and demand for Chinese language education grows in ASEAN countries, Guizhou Education University plans to expand cooperation with Thailand’s Ministry of Education. The program will be optimized to offer more tailored overseas internships while strengthening pre-departure training and cultural preparation for students.
