In August 2025, Chen Yinuo, a student from the Class of 2024 Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) program, represented our university at the University of Cambridge, UK, participating in the "Cambridge Pioneering Project (Philosophy and History of Humanities Education)" summer academic exchange program. This program brought together outstanding students from numerous universities worldwide to engage in deep learning and cross-cultural dialogue on cutting-edge topics such as humanities education, artificial intelligence, and social sciences.
During the two-week program, Chen Yinuo actively participated in international exchanges in the fields of humanities education and tech ethics through diverse formats including core courses, cultural visits, and academic seminars, achieving significant results. In courses such as "Creativity and Innovation" and "Dialogic Education," Chen actively explored the paths for humanistic values and educational transformation in the digital age. In classes on "Artificial Creativity" and "Philosophy of Art," Chen debated topics like "Whether AI Possesses True Creativity" with teachers and students from various countries, sparking deep reflection on technology and humanistic spirit. During the teamwork practice session, Chen gained in-depth experience in cross-cultural academic collaboration, enhancing her communication and leadership skills within an international team. Additionally, the program included visits to King's College and the Fitzwilliam Museum, as well as experiences like punting on the River Cam and attending a Shakespearean play, deepening the understanding of British academic traditions. For the final presentation, Chen's group presented on "Value Reconstruction of Humanities Education in the AI Era," winning the "Best Group Award." Professor Richard Hickman from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge fully affirmed Chen Yinuo's academic performance and critical thinking skills, and she was also awarded the "Best Individual Award."
