GuiZhou Education University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia to Co-establish "Open Education Center for Russian Language and Russian Language Teaching"-Guizhou Education University

On December 15, a delegation led by the Rector of Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia visited our university for a signing ceremony, held in the Landscape Lecture Hall on the first floor of Yinshan Academy. Attending the ceremony were Igor Vladimirovich Kozhanov, Rector of Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia; Wang Shuqian, President of Guizhou Education University; and Zhao Shouying, Member of the University Party Standing Committee and Vice President ( the Director-Generallevel). Also present were Kirillov Alexander Alekseevich, Head of Science and Innovation Department at Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia; Russian language teacher Popova Daria Yuryevna; Du Hongbo, Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Dean of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship School of our university; Ma Guanhui, Dean of the School of Music and Dance; Song Wanju from the School of Education Science; Zhang Bin, Deputy Director (in charge) of the International Office ; and LuoYong, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages. The ceremony was presided over by Zhao Shouying.

At the beginning of the ceremony, all attendees watched the university’s promotional video. Wang Shuqian delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university, extending a warm welcome to the visiting Russian delegation and expressing sincere gratitude for the joint efforts that made the cooperation possible. She noted that this collaboration not only represents a beneficial integration of educational resources between the two institutions but also serves as a vivid practice of in-depth educational and cultural exchange between China and Russia. It will establish a broader international platform for students and faculty from both sides.

In his address, Igor Vladimirovich Kozhanov expressed his anticipation for the partnership between the two universities. He stated that Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia highly values its relationship with Guizhou Education University. Through the co-establishment of the "Open Education Center for Russian Language and Russian Language Teaching," the two sides can further promote mutual learning and integration of language, culture, and educational philosophies, injecting new momentum into cultivating young talents with international perspectives.

Witnessed by all attendees, Wang Shuqian and Igor Vladimirovich Kozhanov signed the inter-university cooperation agreement and the agreement to co-establish the "Open Education Center for Russian Language and Russian Language Teaching" on behalf of their respective institutions. Subsequently, the two sides jointly unveiled the plaque for the center, marking the entry of the cooperation into a substantive implementation phase. In the future, the center will operate under the School of Foreign Languages of our university, focusing on Russian language teaching, teacher training, and cultural promotion.

To further deepen the cooperative relationship, our university appointed Rector Igor Vladimirovich Kozhanov as an adjunct professor, with Wang Shuqian presenting the letter of appointment on site. After the ceremony, Igor Vladimirovich Kozhanov and his delegation visited the School of Music and Dance, the School of Foreign Languages, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship School of our university.

This visit by the delegation from Chuvash State Pedagogical University of Russia is a significant step in our university’s continuous efforts to advance educational internationalization and expand cooperation networks in Eurasia. Both institutions will take this cooperation as a new starting point to further deepen practical collaboration in areas such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and curriculum development, jointly contributing wisdom and strength to the promotion of Sino-Russian cultural exchange and educational cooperation.
