The "China-ASEAN Digital Humanities Exchange: Seminar on the Development of Human-Machine Collaborative Teaching Skills for Foreign Language Teachers in Basic Education" was held at Guizhou Education University.

News from Our Website: From May 18th to 21st, the "China-ASEAN Digital Humanities Exchange: Seminar on the Development of Human-Machine Collaborative Teaching Skills for Foreign Language Teachers in Basic Education" was held at Guizhou Education University. Experts and scholars from both domestic and foreign countries participated in the event through keynote speeches, lesson demonstrations, academic exchanges, teacher discussions, classroom observations, and cultural interaction activities between China and foreign countries. They jointly conducted a four-day discussion and exchange centered around the theme.

Zhao Shouying, a member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice President of Guizhou Eduction University (at the level of ministerial director), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He pointed out that this symposium focuses on "the development of human-machine collaborative teaching capabilities", exploring the reconfiguration of language teaching competencies in the AI era, model innovation, and the path of international understanding education. This is not only a collision of cutting-edge academic ideas but also a practical breakthrough for the future. The university is willing to further establish a regular exchange platform for teachers between China and ASEAN, promote the implementation of human-machine collaborative teaching in basic foreign language education in Guizhou, and help every foreign language teacher achieve professional growth.

Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan, Rohaya Abdullah and Yusnita Md Yunus, professors from Malaysia, along with Yang Jiumin and Li Zheng, professors from Central China Normal University and East China Normal University respectively, delivered keynote speeches on topics such as "Research on AI Empowering High-Quality Education", "The Role of Teachers in the Digital Age", "AI Empowering English Education from an International Perspective", and "Practical Paths and Model Innovations of AI Empowering English Teaching". They conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges centered on foreign language education work in the context of the new era.

Zhang Lifen from the Junior High School English Master Educator Studio of Guiyang City and Yi Ze from the Teachers of Anshun No.3 Senior High School respectively presented their lesson examples, demonstrating the application of the human-machine collaborative education mechanism in foreign language teaching. The attending experts conducted in-depth evaluations of the lesson examples and engaged in interactive exchanges with the presenting teachers and the participants.

During the seminar, a group of students majoring in English Education from the University of Science and Technology of Malaysia, along with students from the Foreign Languages College of Guizhou Education University and the Lewan International Experimental School in Guiyang, engaged in a variety of enriching exchange activities. They interacted through forms such as visiting, discussions, classroom observations, and cultural experiences, delved into in-depth discussions, and strengthened their friendship.

This seminar focused on AI-driven innovation in education and the empowerment of English education in an international context, closely addressing the cutting-edge topics of "digital humanities" and "human-machine collaboration" in the era. It effectively transformed the platform advantages of the China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week into a powerful driving force for empowering the innovation of foreign language teaching in basic education in Guizhou Province. It also provided new ideas and practical support for enhancing the ability of Guizhou Normal University to serve the high-quality development of local basic education and the quality of talent cultivation.

Wang Qian, the director of the Faculty Affairs Department of Guizhou Normal University, and Zhang Bin, the director of the Department of International Office, attended the opening ceremony.
