On the afternoon of August 4, 2026, a delegation from City University of Macau visited our university for exchange activities. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Kong Xianglong, Director of the Third Division of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, and Liao Tian, an official of the International Affairs Division of the Department of Education of Guizhou Province. The delegation was accompanied by Zhang Bin, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation; Lin Jing, Principal-Level Organizer of the University United Front Work Department; Kang Zhenyu and Xie Jian, Deputy Deans of the School of Business; and all staff members of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. The meeting was presided over by Xu Anti, Section Chief of the International Exchange (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs) Section of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

The delegation first made a field visit to the Guizhou Provincial Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Brain-Inspired Computing and the Museum of Guizhou Educational History, where they were briefed on the university's progress in upgrading its teaching and research facilities as well as the development of education in Guizhou Province.

Thereafter, a symposium was convened at Yinshan Academy. During the symposium, Ms. Zhang Bin delivered a welcome address. On behalf of the university, she extended a cordial welcome to the delegation of City University of Macau and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Guizhou Province for their sustained support for exchanges between institutions of higher learning in Guizhou and Macao. She stated that Guizhou Education University has established cooperative relations with more than 50 overseas universities, and that City University of Macau constitutes a core partner in the university's efforts to open up its education to the outside world. She emphasized that the present visit is both a continuation of the friendship between the two institutions and a new starting point for deepening practical cooperation, and expressed the hope that both parties would join forces to expand channels for faculty and student exchanges, joint scientific research, and study-visit and training programs, thereby jointly writing a new chapter in the educational cooperation between Guizhou and Macao.

Mr. Kong Xianglong reviewed the long-standing tradition of educational cooperation between Guizhou and Macao. Over the past two decades, the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Committee has maintained stable communication with City University of Macau, and the leadership of the university has consistently rendered full support to the international exchange of Guizhou's education sector. He pointed out that active efforts should be made to coordinate multiple universities across the province in launching joint programs with City University of Macau in short-term study tours, academic advancement, and teacher training, and that the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Committee and the Department of Education would provide all-round coordination and support, sparing no effort to clear the way for the implementation of inter-university cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties concerned conducted in-depth exchanges on the signing of a memorandum of cooperation, study-tour programs, academic advancement, and faculty and student exchanges.

The visit has further enhanced the breadth and depth of cooperation between the two universities. In the next stage, under the support and guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Committee and the Department of Education of Guizhou Province, our university will steadily advance the implementation of a series of cooperative projects with City University of Macau. By leveraging the regional advantages of Guizhou and Macao and tapping into the complementary potential of educational resources between the two places, the university will continuously enhance its capacity for open education and contribute to the coordinated and high-quality development of higher education in both Guizhou and Macao.
