On the morning of September 20, the Exchange and Cooperation Office of our university organized and held the online mid-term report meeting for the 2026 Chinese Teaching Internship Program launched by the Ministry of Education of Thailand. Yang Bo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Literature and Media, along with teacher Xu Wang, had an online meeting with the eight student interns dispatched to Thailand. The meeting was presided over by Xiang Chenhui, a teacher from the Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Based on their real classroom teaching experiences, the eight interns delivered reports in turn on teaching implementation, cross-cultural adaptation and daily life in Thailand. Adopting vivid and interesting teaching methods and situational interactive teaching strategies, the students conducted high-quality Chinese language instruction, enabling the fine traditional Chinese culture to take root subtly in overseas classrooms.
As a distinctive educational brand of our university for cultivating international talents, the Chinese teaching internship program overseas has always been highly valued by the university. The university cares deeply about the study, work and life of overseas interns and builds a bridge for communication between domestic and overseas parties through regular online meetings. Leaders and teachers expressed great satisfaction at the interns’ remarkable progress in comprehensive abilities and professional teaching skills accumulated through overseas teaching practice. As the Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, the university leaders and teachers extended sincere greetings and earnest care to the students. They encouraged the interns to take good care of themselves, unite and help each other in a foreign land, gain substantial achievements from the internship, and further consolidate the friendly exchanges and ties between China and Thailand.
Going forward, our university will continue to improve the full-process guarantee mechanism for overseas internships, deepen educational and people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand, and support students to hone their cross-cultural communication competencies through overseas practical experiences.
