On the morning of June 19, 2023, the "International Day" and "International Food Carnival" activities jointly organized by the Guizhou Education International Exchange Association and Guizhou University were held at Guizhou University. Representatives from our school's Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Department, tachers from four colleges and 22 student representatives were invited to participate in the event.
Zhou Shaoqi, Vice President of Guizhou University, delivered a welcome speech for the event. Zhang Jing, Director of the China Education International Education Exchange Center, Chen Xiaofei, Secretary General of the Guizhou Education International Exchange Association, and Neal Juster, President of Lincoln University in the UK, delivered speeches and introduced relevant international exchanges. Kong Lijuan, Director of International (China Affairs) at the National School of Education at Nanyang Polytechnic University in Singapore, and Nancy, Deputy Director of the Chengdu Center of the French Higher Education Agency, respectively introduced characteristic study abroad programs. During the "International Food Carnival" activity, our school's participating teachers and students tasted delicious food brought by international students from Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Laos, Zambia, India and other countries. Through the "hometown dishes" made by international students, the friendship between Chinese and foreign people was elevated in the taste buds. The event site also set up a cultural exhibition area and brought traditional cultural performances from various countries to teachers and students.
By participating in the above activities, our teachers and students have broadened their international vision, broadened their understanding of the culture of countries along the "the Belt and Road", and also learned the innovative model of international exchange and cooperation, which will play a positive role in promoting the future work of the school.
